Dr. Paul Newton
Paul J. Newton, DC, has been a practicing chiropractic physician for 27 years. He graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences, formerly The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Dr. Newton became a chiropractor to help people lead healthier, pain-free lives.
He spends time off with his family and plays as much tennis as time permits.
Dr. Michael Truong
Michael Truong, MD, is a licensed physician with the Medical Board of California. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and has served patients as a general practitioner for over 8 years.
His current focus areas include primary care medicine, interventional pain management, and concierge medical services that involve unconventional treatments for conditions not well served by the current standard medical system.
Dr. Gary Rinzler
Dr. Rinzler is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) for 35 years. After completing a combined Doctorate in Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health, he interned at Tufts University and Harvard University Hospitals, attaining Board Certification in 1988.
Additional training and certification in Pain Management, Addiction Medicine, Traumatic Brain & Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke, and other neuromuscular rehabilitation, balanced his practice. When not at work, he is busy raising his teenage son, playing piano, guitar, and drums, as music has been a side hobby for several decades.
Phyllis Ruffin L.M.T, C.S.T.
Phyllis has been a Massage and CranioSacral Therapist for 28+ years, with over 42,000 hours of clinical experience. Her techniques include Deep tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Cupping, Hot Stone, Facilitated Stretching & Trigger Point Therapy.
She became a Therapist after Chiropractic and massage helped her recover after fracturing her low back and tearing discs in an auto accident. Sailing/kayaking Alamitos Bay and professional photography are her hobbies.
Tanya Hosking
Tanya has been a licensed massage therapist (L.M.T.) for over 15 years. She’s been with Dr. Newton and the team since 2010. She focuses on various massage and myofascial techniques to restore a normal range of motion. She does side work for local sports teams as well. A native Michigander, she moved to Long Beach for the sunny Southern California lifestyle!
Mariel Gutierrez
Mariel Gutierrez is a massage therapist here at Health At Last Long Beach. She graduated from Everest College and has been a massage therapist for 13 years. She started because she wanted to make a difference in a person’s health and well-being. She specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, and prenatal massages.
